So I know the other day I talked about my trip the San Francisco Botanical Gardens. It was a really hot, sunny day, despite being October, and I was on the hunt for any indication San Francisco knew what season it was. Since then we’ve had a short cold snap and it’s starting to feel a little more autumny here. In the absence of seasons outside I’ve brought pinecones, pumpkins and ornamental corn inside so I can feel the cozy harvest vibe that way.
I thought I’d share the other half of the pictures I took that day, the ones which do invoke that sense of autumn. It’s interesting to think that the colors and textures of the season are a result of death and decay yet we still find them so beautiful. A sign that deep down we find harmony in the cycle of life and death, no matter how hard we try to fight it on the surface.
