A few weeks ago we had a long weekend for President’s day and my friend and I took Monday for a much-needed escape from the city. We weren’t entirely sure where we were going to go, just that we wanted to hunt down some real California sunshine and relax. We tried Half Moon Bay but, unfortunately, the weather there did not live up to its forecast and was depressingly foggy. So we decided to head inland, where the weather is more reliable, and ended up in Woodside. A quick trip to the supermarket netted us a delicious picnic lunch of minestrone soup, bread, cheese and apples which we took to Wunderlich County park to enjoy, before doing a short hike through the forest.
The sunlight was incredible, I think we were there at exactly the right time of day, and it looked so beautiful shining through the trees. Here are a few of the pictures I took that day:
P.S. I have just reopened my Society 6 store so, if you like any of the pictures I share on this blog, you can buy them there. There is only a small selection up for the moment so let me know if your favorite isn’t there.
